Champagne L'Orée des chênes brut (45% oak barrels)
Champagne created with the three grape varieties of the Champagne region
Chardonnay: 45%.
The only white grape of the three, it contributes elegance and finesse, while adding citrus notes.
Pinot Meunier: 35%.
This provides Champagne with both freshness and lightness. Notable for a bouquet that's intense and full of fruit, Pinot Meunier brings a fullness to blendings. It develops more rapidly than the other two varieties.
Pinot Noir: 20%.
This variety brings complexity, vinosity, structure and aromas of red fruit.
Robe: golden yellow.
Appearance: smooth, small bubbles with a light cordon.
Nose: ripe and elegant nose, delicate balance with hints of yellow-fleshed fruits.
Mouth: attack on the palate is frank and generous. The end is long with strength and character.
Recommendations: goes well with spicy dishes, white meat, cheese or dark chocolate dessert.
Serving temperature: between 7° and 8° C (ideal).
Harvest grapes: 2014/2015.
Bottling in february 2016 (tirage).
